Your future role
As a technical expert in Machine Learning and Computer Vision domain you will be responsible to deliver prototypes of future products or services (HW/SW) for testing, demonstrations and showcase. You will deliver design / architectures / concepts / software or hardware components in form of prototypes for future product development. We are looking for new colleague who is willing to drive partnership form technological perspective for the area, has overview of technologies from relevant area and practical ideas for application of these technologies to future products. Main role responsibilities and tasks: • Execution of research and development projects or sub-projects in specific expertise areas • Giving technical guidance to KMLE team members in specific expertise area • Responsible for executing R&D projects from ‘Business Idea’ through to ‘Commercialisation’ according to KMI BIC Stage Gate Processes (with appropriate support from BIC, KMI, KMLE and SHG as necessary) • Awareness and understanding of connections with activities taking place in the wider ecosystem of the KMLE organisation across Europe, together with appropriate areas of CR&D and HLUS, including their impact on the KMLE BCZ R&D projects • Maintain state-of-the art expertise in specific area of Machine Learning and Computer Vision. • Participation in decisions related to KMLE and its technology strategy and cooperation/interaction with BIC and providing guidance on the direction for technologies included within BIC • Visiting conferences, technical forums and workshops and contributing with appropriate KMLE developments • Responsible for people expertise development within the expert area and establishment of technical evolu-tion plan and trainings. • Technically evaluate candidates for new roles in KMLE team.
Main requirements: • Ability to apply Machine Learning for Computer Vision problems such as video object detection and tracking, semantic image and video understanding, or object pose estimation • Prototyping level understanding of Python or C++ development • Hands on experience with Deep Learning frameworks such as Tensorflow, Pytorch or Caffe. • Hands on experience with OpenCV, Numpy, and Scipy libraries • Hands on experience with traditional Machine Learning algorithms such as Logistic Regression, Random Forest, or SVM • Understanding of Probability Theory and Statistics • Working knowledge of Linux • Ability to tackle loosely defined problems • Interactive, open minded person able to work broad range of activities and interact with people with various backgrounds. Ability to present and uphold your ideas.
