The Industrial Process Filtration EMEA Division with app. 300 employees operates with high autonomy and is part of the “Filtration-Group”. The Division with headquarters in the UK has a well-branded Business Unit which is a provider of aircraft refueling solutions such as ground fueling and fuel filtration equipment, cartridges, pressure vessels and pit boxes for the aviation industry.
The receipt of new certificates guarantees an advantage in competition. Therefore the Business Unit now is looking for a Sales Manager who will be in charge for the D-A-CH region & Eastern Europe, focussing on sales of aviation fuels filtration solutions. At present the region is serviced directly from UK and through distribution partners.
Your future role
The newly created function will report to the Business Unit Manager who is located in South Africa. The position holder closely will cooperate with his/her sales colleagues in the EMEA region, supported by technical and administrative staff from headquarters, based in UK.
The primary job function is to secure profitable sales from a diverse range of both old and new Refined Fuels customers within assigned territories. The role works closely with customers in the aviation branch to ensure that a high level of service and competitive solutions are achieved. The Sales Manager will motivate and guide the Distribution Partners in the region and perform own direct sales activities, mainly concentrating on airport terminal storage companies and OEM - tanker truck manufacturers.
Tasks in detail will be:
After his/her degree (preferably) in engineering the position holder has gained experience in selling components and solutions into the Refined Fuels industry, especially to Aviation markets. Thanks to high technical and communicative competence the candidate will be able to build credibility quickly with the ability to persuade and influence.
Bringing along previous experience of working at costumer locations and proactive approach to personal safety and adherence to costumer site regulations is desired. Knowledge of aviation standards as El1581 would be an advantage. The candidate is fluent in German and in English – Russian would be an advantage. Experiences in handling standard computer software are also mandatory.
The position holder is willing to travel on an international level, is able to adjust to different cultures and challenged to realise targets independently and in a team. He/she is characterized by a high level of self-motivation. Additionally he/she is confident and outgoing, patient and adaptable, diplomatic and assertive.
