Division HR Manager – Electromechanical & Pneumatic Divisions EMEA

Your future role
In this newly defined role, the position holder will be part of the Divisional management teams and as such, will play an important role in the execution of the Group and Divisional strategy. It will be important for the new incumbent to establish a strong relationship & partnership with the other divisional staff members as well as with the rest of the organization on a regional & global level to ensure a successful, sustainable development of the business.
The main priorities for this role are:
- to ensure that the company’s culture geared towards a safe environment prevails everywhere in the organization at any time;
- to ensure that employees’ engagement level remains high in a constant change and transformation context reinforcing the empowerment of self-managed , high-performing teams;
- to provide coaching to leaders who need to manage talent in a way that the organization has access to the best talent to fulfill its current and future objectives by putting in place talent development plans which will help anticipating the needs and raise the bar in terms of performance.
- To act as a champion for lean initiatives aiming at further and constant simplification.
Act as a strategic partner by being involved in business issues, participating in business task forces, providing program management of workforce planning, skills assessment, succession planning, learning and development, championing company’s culture and management practices.
Champion employee communication programs that provide employees open, candid and frequent information-sharing with management, develop employee involvement systems, develop self-direction teams, ensure work environment provides opportunity for celebration and openness. Provide due process to associates to deal with differences, development of employee skills, standard operating procedures (SOP) development and performance management development systems.
Act as a liaison for leading change, creating understanding among associates about the need to change, and how change will help them and the business in the short and long term, assisting in the modification of systems and structures to support needed change, monitoring progress by developing measures for change and developing long and short term plans to keep attention focused on change.
Promote and lead continuous improvement initiatives in HR such as for benefits administration, employee record keeping, succession planning, recruitment/staffing process, occupational health/safety, compensation/pay activities, Payroll processing is centralized and part of the finance organization.
He/she elaborates general works council agreements to assure proper performance of work, in cooperation with local HR, focusing on the need to coordinate & align with Country HR programs, initiatives, etc. (works councils, HR policies, etc.).
The successful candidate has preferably acquired a Master’s Degree in a relevant field combined with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in Human Resource Management roles gathered in large, complex multinational environment. A proven-track record of successful experiences in providing coaching and partnering with management team members is required.
A previous experience in managing HR projects in various business cycles such as growth, acquisition, new market development and restructuring will facilitate the success of the incumbent in this role.
A good understanding of HR related laws in various countries and the ability to find creative solutions within legal frameworks and with the support of other country HR teams in a matrix organization are required.
The incumbent brings along a good balance between a sound strategic & operational mindset combined with a high focus on results. A demonstrated successful track-record of change management in multicultural environments is also needed.
The future position holder is open to international travel (30 to 40% of the working time).
Fluency in English and German is a must, a third language (French) a plus.
The successful candidate is a good communicator and able to motivate and inspire people in different cultures and on different level. As credible coach in a technology driven company, the position holder is capable to organize and communicate complex issues in a simple way.
