Prototype and Test Jr Engineer

Your future role:

Blueair’s core business is design and manufacturing of air purifiers, with products sold in 64 countries globally. The company was founded in 1996 and currently have 60 employees at the Head Quarter in the centre of Stockholm. Blueair also have offices in China, India, Hong Kong and the U.S., as well as filter production facilities in Kina. 

As Blueair is expanding we are looking for a dedicated individual to join our technology development and product test team. The team work with technology development and testing of components, air purifiers, air quality sensors and our digitality solutions.

Your responsibilities
As a mechanical workshop engineer your primary responsibility is building prototypes and test rigs in plastic, wood or metal materials as well as building prototype filters. You need to work in CAD and will help to build models and print parts using our 3D-printers or order parts from external workshops when needed. 

The role includes, but is not limited to, the following tasks:
- Supporting with product performance tests, for example flow and noise tests 
- Supporting in our concept and product development projects to build models, prototypes and test rigs 
- Key member in development projects as prototype builder
- Responsible to keep the workshop in order, order needed equipment and materials
- Product and system testing of air purifiers, air quality monitors, particle- and gas- filters
- Verification and validation of functionalities, noise, reliability, filtration and airflow

Job requirements:

You need to be a team player as your assignments will be varied, ranging from more complicated to easier tasks, and you will cooperate with your team members, project leaders etc.  

You are curious, analytical and accurate by nature with the ability to get things done. You are comfortable working hands on and have a drive to push things forward. Furthermore, you are a problem solver with the ability to reflect on the work that is being done. 

The following experience/knowledge is strongly meriting:
- Model building, workshop work
- Practical interests
- Fans and air flows
- Motors, motor control
- Product verification testing 
- HW design and prototyping, for example Arduino
- SW design

A suitable academic background is a University degree in electro mechanical or mechanical engineering.  You are a fresh graduate or have a couple years of work experience.

You are fluent in English, both written and oral. As Blueair is a truly international company you don´t need to speak Swedish for this position. Swedish is however a merit.
