To support the Head of Clay Engineering & Energy, we are currently looking for a Clay Engineering & Energy Expert who will take over the responsibility of the Head of Clay Engineering & Energy after a period of approximately two years.

Location: Rhine-Main-Area or one of the company’s locations worldwide
Your future role:
In this challenging position, you will be in regular interaction with the Clay Tile Plants, mainly in Western and Southern Europe. You will be a key member of the Clay Engineering department. For your initial training and introduction, you will be based in Germany, however the role allows flexibility of working from somewhere in Europe and will include travel, particularly to the UK where part of the team is located. You will be responsible for the technical development of Clay manufacturing equipment as well as the manufacturing process.
For this interesting position, we are looking for a candidate who has a higher university degree in a ceramic discipline or as an engineer with a minimum of ten to fifteen years of comprehensive technical expertise of ceramic manufacturing processes. Based on your excellent leadership and communication skills you will be a competent leader to your team and across different cultures. This role requires a good standard of verbal and written English, other European languages – in particular German - are regarded as an advantage.
On the one hand, you stand out by a certain hands-on mentality. On the other hand, you should be able to communicate on all hierarchical level and be capable of convincing and motivating people. You should have a very pro-active character and be good at working self-dependently.
Furthermore, you are a team player and prepared to get involved with other cultures and people with different backgrounds.
