Our client is well-known multi-national FMCG Company which has a turnover of approximately 1 Billion USD annually and the majority of the current senior management team is expatriates.
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated professional to fill in the following position:
 

Chief Operating Officer

Multi-national FMCG Company

Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Your future role:

In this role, you directly report to the Managing Director and you directly supervise the National Manufacturing Mgr, National Distribution Mgr, National Warehouse Mgr,  Supply Chain Mgr.

SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES         
Lead the Organization by driving business and people agenda, thereby ensuring results are in line/ahead of Annual Business Plan, specifically being accountable for the four cost centres reporting to him. The COO is a key member of the senior management team. You’ll have to maintain control of several business operations, so we expect you to be an experienced and efficient leader. If you also have excellent people skills, business acumen and exemplary work ethics, we’d like to meet you.
  • Design and implement business strategies, plans and procedures, by function:
  • Lead change and transformation agenda across all functions
  • Set comprehensive goals for performance and growth
  • Manage relationships with partners/vendors
  • Ensure Capex plans executed within set timelines and budget
  • Manage through processes (plan, review and update process)
  • Establish policies that promote company culture and vision
  • Ensure automation remains a key business driver
  • Ensure highest Quality levels
  • Create efficient structure
  • Recruit, on-board, coach and develop direct reports
  • Lead employees to encourage max performance and dedication
  • Execute PMP process and hold people accountable
  • Manage through processes (plan, review and update process)
  • Build a strong organisation capability in manufacturing and fleet (people/processes)

Job requirements:

  • Min 15 years of experience with a large company, preferably FMCG industry.
  • 5 years in a senior Management Position.
  • Strong Manufacturing/Supply Chain Background
  • Large team management.
  • Operations management.
  • Financial awareness.
  • Profit and loss account workings.
  • Cash flow management.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • Strong Technical Skills             
  • Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
  • Culture sensitivities.
