Our client, an Abu Dhabi-based Company, positioned as a global developer of iconic real estate projects and a provider of premium lifestyles, is investing in Serbia in a large scale mixed-use project. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated professional to fill in the following position:

Cost Manager

Real estate projects

Location: Belgrade, Serbia

Your future role:

  • Establishing or following and promoting cost management policies and guidelines
  • To both manage and be actively involved in the Pre-Contract Cost Assessment of Designs & Submitted Tender Offers and also provide accurate Post Contract Cost Reporting and Projection Analysis
  • To manage, lead and interrogate the information provided by external consultants & in-house specialists
  • Supporting project teams in both preparing or overseeing the development of Cost Plans, Cost Estimates and associated sensitivity analysis while demonstrating in-depth local knowledge
  • Taking the lead role in finalising accurate Cost Reports against fixed budgets and evolving Projects
  • Providing early warnings of cost-related risks to financial planning and providing recovery options
  • Ensuring projects are delivered within the budget and assuring compliance with all legal and specific project requirements
  • Being responsible for reporting to stakeholders at project level at all stages
  • Communicating the cost planning standards throughout the teams and into the sub-contract organisation

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering [Construction], Construction Economics or Quantity Surveying
  • MRICS certificate would be considered as an advantage
  • Minimum 10 years of Cost Management / Cost Assessment & Reporting experience, preferably in the large scale construction / development projects
  • Excellent knowledge of all central cost management concepts, tools and techniques
  • Experience of leading cost management projects for large sized projects of medium to high complexity
  • People management experience (particularly in the context of managing multidisciplinary teams in projects)
  • Successful track record in supporting large value construction/infrastructure projects
  • High level of operational effectiveness with the ability to manage risks and deliver quality results
  • Strong communication and leadership skills with emphasis on teamwork
  • Fluent in English
  • Advanced user of MS Office
