Our client, an Abu Dhabi-based Company, positioned as a global developer of iconic real estate projects and a provider of premium lifestyles, is investing in Serbia in a large scale mixed-use project. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated professional to fill in the following position:

Procurement Manager

Real estate projects

Location: Belgrade, Serbia

Your future role:

  • Oversee and manage the procurement of various Construction Elements and internal fit-out items
  • Control the process from receipt of technical description, through selection and approval to actual order placement and novation or physical delivery at the project location as required
  • Follow or develop & implement Procurement Plan for all department purchases in line with both Project requirement lead-times and Company’s procurement procedures etc
  • Responsible for verifying purchasing requirements and any relevant considerations
  • Identify reliable, quality suppliers and shipping agents that will meet the Company’s specifications and needs, to provide competitive pricing for quantities and commitment for delivery requirements
  • Review and negotiate all purchase and transportation contracts including prices and conditions
  • Develop and maintain a current list of suppliers, products and prices to ensure that the Company obtains the best product selection, pricing and delivery solutions
  • Drive purchasing process from the pre-bidding activities through approvals and execution
  • Maintain and develop good relationships with import related authorities, liners and carriers, to ensure efficient positive and lawful relations, support and activities

Job requirements:

  • Bachelor degree in Construction / Engineering, business, economics or supply management; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of purchasing management experience in related or Construction industry
  • Experience in financial analysis in major project environments
  • Negotiation skills
  • Ability to deal effectively with all parties including Company Teams, Import and Customs Authority where necessary, Designers, Project Delivery, Main Contractors, Subcontractors and Suppliers
  • Multi-cultural workforce management experience
  • Solid understanding of relevant contractual law, contract formation, tendering process, logistics and materials management
  • Fluent in English
  • Advance user of MS Office
