Distribution Centre Manager

Your future role:

Job Mission

Reporting to Senior Business Unit Director the incumbent will be responsible for taking over and management of a distribution centre of a very large industrial client of the company.

Mission of the job is to manage the centre up to the best practices and outstanding operational standards to meet and exceed the customer’s KPI’s and expectations while ensuring the site’s operational and financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

Key accountabilities of the incumbent on this this exceptionally comprehensive and challenging position will be as follows:
  • Ensure contractual customer service levels through the efficient running of warehouse, transport and customer service operations
  • Manage KPI's to meet contractual terms and client expectations
  • Develop and deliver agreed financial budget (revenue and profit)
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement
  • Change management leadership
  • Build a High Performing Team, deliver team member performance reviews, development and succession planning
  • Ensure compliance with the Labour Law and working time rules on site
  • Responsibility for all aspects relating to Health & Safety and the Environment
  • Management of debt control and customer claims
  • Ensure professional and timely communication and reporting to customer and management
  • Be pro-active in dealing with the customer requests
  • Manage equipment and other resources in line with budgetary and contractual rules and targets

Job requirements:

Professional and Personal Profile
  • 5-10 years of experience as a manager of high output or fast pace distribution centre, preferably servicing multinational client from the automotive, FMCG or retail sector
  • exceptionally customer orientated with focus on uccessful long-term partnership
  • Successful change management experience 
  • Outstanding business acumen, including understanding of fundamentals of finance as well as cost and resources management
  • Strong team management and project team management skills
  • Ability to communicate in English fluently and to cooperate at the international level
